Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large bell peppers (red, yellow, or green), sliced into strips
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ lbs flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
- ⅓ cup soy sauce
- ⅓ cup honey
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in cold water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil for stir-frying
- Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prep: Slice the steak thinly against the grain. Cut the bell peppers into uniform strips, chop the onion, and mince the garlic.
- Marinate: Combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Add the steak, coat evenly, and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Cook Vegetables: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok or large pan. Sauté the bell peppers and onions until slightly charred. Set aside.
- Sear Steak: Heat remaining oil and sear the steak strips on high heat in batches to achieve caramelization. Set aside.

- Combine: Return the steak and veggies to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce. Garnish and serve.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
